Guest guest
No two people are alike in this world. Likewise, the spiritual evolvement of each individual is separate from others. Though many may participate in Bhajans and Nagara sankeertans, the involvement of each individual is not alike. Swami used to give one example. There is sunlight and there is a lense and a paper. If the sunlight is correctly focussed on the paper, instantly it will burn. Likewise there is god's grace always flowing. The impurities in us will be burnt instantaneously if the focussing of the grace is done with single pointed attention. Maintaining a distance from God and blaming Him is not correct. During winter season, if you want the warmth of the fire, you have to go and sit near the fireplace. If you are sitting at a distance, you wont get any warmth. Hence have a perfect focus like the warrior Arjuna, who could win the hands of Draupathi due to his meticulous aim in shooting arrows. His attentiveness won him the teachings of Bagawat Gita from the Lord. Many may wonder why Arjuna was alone chosen for the dissemination of Gita. It is his one pointed attention which won him the grace of Lord. No doubt Dharmaraja is superior in adherance to Dharma. But he had no hindsight. He not only indulged in the game of dice, but lost everybody in betting including his brothers. He was lamenting his foolishness after witnessing the catastrophic events subsequent to the dice game. No doubt, Sri Krishna came to the rescue of "Draupadi", when her husbands hung their heads unable to rescue her. Hence we should think twice before doing any thing. Sairam.
