Ramayana and Mahabarath are the two epics, that guide the humanity. Great morals and truths are enshrined in these two epics. While Shri Rama is praised as "Ramo Vigravahan Dharmah(Rama is the personification of righteousness), his actions from his very birth are in the footsteps of Dharma. A Poorna Avathar is considered to possess 16 kalas or attributes. In the case of Rama, the Avatar comprises all the brothers. None can equal in sacrifice to Lakshmana, Bharata. They were the embodiments of brotherwood. They sacrificed their all for the sake of Rama. If Rama is like a flag that flutters on the wind, both Lakshmana and Bharata can be considered as the flag post and the base. Kaikeyi and Mandara miscalculated about Baratha. He was an epitome of righteousness. How much mental agony he suffered when he returned to Ayodhya, is best left to the imagination of devotees. None can equal them in human life. Hence Ramayana is sung all over the world due to the sacrifices each one has made. Rama sacrificed Sita for the sake of the Kingdom and rules. He never deviated even an iota from Dharma. Many lakhs of years have passed since the advent of Rama. But none forget his name. Every where he is worshipped and his sweet name is chanted. In the scientific and technological age, information is stored in computer memory, CDs and other devices. There were no such fecility during those times and how by word of mouth the sweet story of Rama is making rounds all over even after the passage of lakhs of years. There lies the holiness and divinity to the name 'Rama". Likewise the Mahabarath depicts the sweet pranks of Shri Krishna as the comrade of Arjuna and the pivotal role he played between Pandavas and Kauravas, the Kurukshethra war, the rendering of holy 'Bagawat Gita'. Geeta upanyas and parayan takes place in many places even after the passage of more than 5000 years. These two holy epics survive the destruction by time and natural forces. Sairam.
