India is a Punya bhumi, Yoga bhumi and thyaga bhumi. From ancient days, Indians welcomed people from all Religions who sought asylum in our country. Hence we have a mini world in our country. Many Religions are practised here without any fear. All are given freedom to choose their mode of worship. All are treated equally. Hindus and Muslims lived side by side following their own religious beliefs. Because of Politicians and intruders our land is haunted now with fights in the name of religion. To unite the disgrunted people, Saints like Kabir Das and Shirdi Sai toiled during their life time. Swami erected "Sarva Dharma Aikya Stupa in many places starting the one from Prasanthi Nilayam. For him, all are his children. The world is His mansion. Each room represent a country. But Swami emphasise the importance of "Bharath". He compares India to that of a Rail Engine which hauls other compartments. In this country, many Yagas and Yagnas(ritual offering to fire god chanting appropriate mantras) are practised with the sole aim of "Welfare of the entire humanity". Many sacrificed their all to know Truth. They practised severe penance in forests for the sake of humanity. They coded the Vedas and many religious and scriptural texts were written by many such "Rishis" of the ancient order. Even now, we have many noble souls in our country living unnoticed by many. It is written in the ancient poetry, that even if one noble soul is there, rain will pour for his sake on entire humanity. Sairam.
