Guest guest
When a container containing dirty or soiled water is kept still for a day, the dirt settles down forming a layer at the bottom. When we remain still inwardly, we too can get clarity in our consciousness. It is stilling the agitations that cause turbulations in our mental frame. Keeping quiet outwardly is the first step. Remaining as a mute witness to the thoughts that rise in the mind, is the next step. But it is not achieved in one day. It requires sustained effort on the individual to remain unaffected to the external pressures. Everything depends upon how we react to the external stimuli. Every thought is a distraction in the inner realm. But we should never allow any thoughts to disturb our inner calm. It is within our strength to remain focussed on the Self. All strength emanate from the inner self. That faith is really 'self confidence'. Sairam.
