Nowadays, we have plenty of diseases as well as remedies. Where a particular disease is rampant, there you can find the remedy also.God has created many medicinal herbal plants to cater to the needs of the patients. Some 100 years ago, people lived in rural villages and at the same time they were hale and healthy. They toiled in the fields from morning till evening and due to the labour, they ate well due to good appetite and they had refreshing sleep also. People had minimum desires and minimum needs. All the electronic gadgets we use now is never heard in those times. There were no electric lights, fans, air conditioners and refrigerators but people had a good night sleep and they lived many long years with good eye sight. Even at very old ages people never wore glasses. They had no false dentures for all their teeth were intact. They used peepal and other sticks to clean their teeth. They observed dieting during Ekadasi days etc. They observed all the rituals. Child birth took place in the houses with normal deliveries. Only ayurvedic and siddha system of medicines were taken in case of sudden illness. They had fresh air, fresh water and no pollution. Their manure was based on organic bio forms. Only tree barks were used for litting the earthern oven. They never desired for comforts. Everybody practised sacrifice. All functions in any house hold are the concern to all the families in the village. Each contributed their might for the successful performance of any function in any house hold. There was co-operation among the various communities. Disputes were rare and resolved through panchayat heads amicably. Now we have the latest electronic gadgets. Luxuries abound in every house hold. There are planes for transportation to any distant countries. People converse in a second with any body situated in other parts of the world. Medical fecilities abound everywhere. Many earns in lakhs but inspite of all the scientific and technological progress none is happy and none is peaceful. Why? The people nowadays chase mirages like, power, position, properties etc. Very quickly they realise, that these things never gives lasting satisfaction. They become dejected. Had they practiced "Ceiling on Desires" evolved by Swami, they could have led a balanced and satisfied life. Contentment is missing. People desire for more and more. On the other side, people in third world countries are suffering from obscure poverty, unhealthy living. They have no access to even drinking water. People live in make shift tents in high temperatures. It is the duty of the well to do to look after the needs of the underprivilaged in society. Swami has created world class hospitals to cater to the needs of poor illeterate downtrodden rural people absolutely FREE. He has provided protected potable water supply fecilities to many towns and districts.He has founded educational institutions that teach the students from Kintergarden to PG, M.Tech, M.B.A and M.F.M with world class standards absolutely FREE. It is the love of Swami towards humanity. He wants all to lead a healthy, happy and prosperous life and at the same time helping all mutually, sharing their resources with the have nots etc. He has constructed homes for destitute children, home for old aged people etc in many a places. Bala Vikas classes cater to the needs of young children to guide them towards basic moral and spiritual education. The children are taught to rever their parents and teachers. They are taught co-operative living, the need to help others etc. They learn stories depicting great heros, saints and sages. Thus Sai movement is all comprising and benefits people from all walks of life and all rungs of society. Sairam.
