Guest guest
Swami always says that you are not one but three. The one who you think you are-body. the one whom others think about you-mind; the one who you really are-Atma or Self. The real "I" is veiled under the delusion created by Maya. There are two powers; Avarana and Vikshepa. one is the hiding power and the other one is projection. For instance, you visualise a snake in the middle of the road when you are moving in twilight when there is no full light. There you see a coiled thing in the middle of the road. Immediately, you are freightened and run away. Suddenly some one holding a long torch walk through the road. you want to have a second look on the kind of snake. Lo! it is only a coir coiled like a snake. Now you laugh at your foolishness. Whether the snake was there earlier? NO. Prior to your seeing, it was a rope, during your seeing, it was rope. It remains a rope even afterwards. Wherefrom the snake came. It is the projecting power of Maya. First the rope was hidden due to faulty light or vision. Secondly, in the place of real rope, a snake was visualized.Likewise in the entire creation of cosmos there is only Brahman which is hidden by Maya and the world is seen instead. Sairam.
