Most of us pray or worship god for fulfilling our worldly ambitions or to tide over some difficult period in life. Well, it is not a mistake to worship god for mundane things. Instead of crooning before co humans, it would be better to beg the Lord for our needs. If we deeply think, there is not even a necessity to pray for mundane things. We have to seek the Lord Himself instead of the material comforts, the Lord confers. For instance, you are suffering from bodily discomforts or pains. You start praying to the Lord and your pain got relieved. After some time, you may undergo some other ailments. Again, you pray to the Lord. Now instead of praying each and everytime to the Lord, if you just rely upon his wisdom and compassion, it would be more than enough. In this way, we can develop surrender. We always go through the ups and downs of the life. If we develop equal mindedness towards the ups and down of life, then we can remain at peace. Sairam.
