Guest guest
All the inputs we get from the external world are through 'sensory perceptions only'. We perceive the sceneries, we hear the sounds, we taste through the tongue. we feel through the skin, and we inhale perfumes or odour through the nose. The five sense organs interact with the external stimuli and conveys only those pertaining to those senses. For example 'ear' can never see nor the nose taste. Likewise all the organs are meant for one particular field of perception. The brain, through the mind 'deciphor' the inputs gained through the sense organs and pass necessary commands to the concerned organs. If you taste a sweet, the brain induces a desire through the mind to consume the sweet. If you eat a bitter thing, the brain conveys through the mind to that sense organ to desist from further eating. If you view all this on the whole, no organ is perfect and it is like 'seven blind men perceiving different parts of an elephant through their touch, concludes that the elephant is like the parts they touched. Saint Thirumoolar lived in south India many thousand years ago and He was a prophet poet. His poems or stanzas are still a point of research in philosophical circles. He has said, that the "Brahman is hidden by five elements, if you view the external world. If you concentrate on "Brahman alone, the elements are hidden in it". Sairam.
