Krishna and Purandara Dasa.

Every moment is NEW. Swami has clarified this point several times. He said, that people name the time period for convenient sake as seconds, minutes, hour, day, month and years. If we deeply analyze, every moment that comes to us is NEW and we can utilize those moments for our uplift and for those who are in society. In a way the name "SAI" represents "Society, Atma and I". We might have noticed that the priority is Society and our social obligations, next come Atma or God and the last is the "individual" or `I'. Hence, everyone should strive to do their might for the society first. When Krishna asked "Purandara Dasa", "Do you like to serve me? Purandara dasa replied, "Lord, there are myriads of beings who can serve you. But, it is the poor and downtrodden, who have none to look after them. Hence, let me serve those unfortunate brothern". Majority of the people are concerned about their own welfare and those who are kith and kin to them. Only a handful serves the society in a selfless manner. Even the so called `devotees' are mostly concerned about their own welfare and comforts only. Hence, the secret of our existence in this world is "Paropakar" or helping others. In fact, the others are our own Self. Sairam.
