Guest guest
Hislop is singularly fortunate to have frequent interactions with Swami on various occasions. We are also fortunate to access his interactions through his beautiful book, "conversations, wherein he has dutifully recorded the various episodes comprising almost all subjects on which every sadhaka needs clarification. When Hislop was telling some thing like "my mind", then Swami corrected him saying, "mind' and not your or anybody's mind. Here we should be focussed to get the meaning of the term "mind".Mind do not belong to anybody and it is an entity like 'space' or 'air'. We can not claim space and air as 'mine' or 'thine'. Also 'thoughts' do not flow through the mind. In fact, mind seeks the thoughts. Hence, thoughts also do not belong to any. They are similar to 'clouds' which are seen in the sky which hide the 'sun' for some time. We too are deluded when conflicting thoughts make us depressed. This too is a temporary phase. We should be concerned with the "sun alone' instead of worrying about the clouds. Sairam.
