Seventh Holy Saying

" It is my duty to

look after the welfare of the devotees who surrender and take refuge in

me "

" Give me your mind, offer me

your actions, think always of me, surrender

to me, have faith in me " .

" By all means, surrender

yourself totally at the feet of Almighty.

By his grace you will obtain permanent salvation. "

" Drop all your duties. Take refuge

at my feet. I shall liberate

you from all sins. Do not worry, be happy " .

Sri Krishna in the last chapter of Bhagwad

Gita declared. So Sai Baba says the same in his

seventh holy saying.

We have to depend upon Baba for everything. The roots of the

plants depend upon water. What for? To live and to grow well; Wicks have to

depend upon oil. What for? To be bright and to spread light; Breath depends

upon the air and oxygen. What for? To live and to give life energy to the body;

we depend upon discrimination. What for? To know what is right and to do right;

Dependence upon Baba is good, right and is a must. It is for our well being, it

destroys all our sins. It is auspicious. It gives peace and happiness. It is

full of bliss and prosperity.

See and enjoy, hear and be happy, the great story

of Baba's Leela. Kakaji Vaidya was a resident of Vani in

the district of Nasik .He was a priest in the temple of Saptasringi. He was

subjected to many problems, ordeals and sufferings. He did not have mental

peace. He was always under stress and strain, anxiety and tension, agony and

anguish. Under such circumstances, he went to the temple one evening

and wept before the deity to save him. His heart-rending cry was heard by the Goddess. That night, she appeared to him

in the dream and said, " Go to Baba, you will get peace " . He tried to

ask the deity about Baba in the dream itself. But before he could speak, he

woke up from the dream. He started thinking about Baba.

After a long contemplation, he thought that Baba might be the great

Trayambakeswara (Lord Shiva). Resolving so, he

proceeded immediately to Trayambakeswar. He stayed

there for ten days. Every day early in the morning he woke up and took bath. He receited 'Rudram'.

He performed 'abhisekam' and other rituals of

worship. In spite of all the devotional worship, he continued to be without

peace of mind. He returned to his village and made his heart-rending cry once

again before his deity. Once again in the night, the goddess appeared in his

dream and told him, " Why did you unnecessarily go to Trayambakeshwar?

Baba means Shirdi Sai Baba. Do you now understand what I say?

Vaidya now should go to Shirdi.

How to go? When to go? How to see Baba? He was a little worried about the next

course of action. If anybody decides to see a yogi and sees a yogi, both the

yogi and his God will bless the devotee and fulfill his desire. Yogi and God

are one and the same. There is no difference between them. Nobody can, by his

will, see either a yogi or God. It is not the devotee's will what is enough.

But the yogi and the God should also be willing to welcome the devotee. Without

their will and grace, devotee cannot visit them. Nor can he see them. Without

God's will nothing will happen.

(to be contd….)
