Tomorrow is "Thai Poosam", celeberation in the temples for Lord Muruga. This day brings into memory Saint Ramalinga who lived during the 19th century in Tamilnadu. He founded "Samarasa suddha sanmarga sangam". It was a rare birth. Like Shirdi Baba, He too lit lights with water. He evinced atmost love to all the beings in the world. Not only to the living entities, but also to the plants and leaves. Whenever he found any plant was drooping due to neglect, he felt the pain in his own being. He was perfect in all respects. He has enabled poor feeding throughout the year for any number of people who throng to the place. His aim was that none should suffer due to hunger and thirst. The hearth he lit when he was there in body is being nourished till date. The fire place has never stopped burning. Likewise the light he has lit is kept burning even now. He mysteriously dissolved his physical frame into light and escaped from human view. That place is known as "siddhi valagam"and He merged in the Divine on this Holy day. His sprit guides his followers. He has written many couplets on Divinity and ecstacy. One day when he was talking to the followers, he lamented, "I opened a shop but none came to purchse". But one day my master will come and perform many miracles etc., No doubt he was refering to Swami. Swami also one day when he was giving his discourse in Chennai told the gathering, He too feels the same as Saint Ramalinga. None takes his words etc. But things are not like the way Swami pronounced on the day. More and more people are thronging to Swami from many parts of the world, listens to him and put his teachings in practice, especially people from other countries. Sairam.
