Guest guest
When the Pandava brothers were living in forests as a result of the infamous dice game, Shri Krishna was their saviour. He saved them from many perils and troubles. Whenever they were in trouble, they remembered and prayed only Shri Krishna. Hence the mother 'Kunti Devi' was asked by Shri Krishna to spell out her desire. She told Krishna, "When my children were leading miserable life in the forest, you always responded to our prayer and your presence sooth our mind. Hence grant us 'troubles' so that we will always remember you and you will be at hand to protect us". Outwardly this may seem foolish to many people. But mother Kunti was very wise and asked the correct boon and hence the Pandavas enjoyed Krishna's protection always. Here, we may recall that before the commencement of "Kurukshetra war" both Arjuna and Duryodhana visited the habitat of Shri Krishna with the intention of seeking His help in the war. The lord was reclining in the bed and was pretending asleep. Hence Arjuna sat near the feet of Krishna waiting for Him to wake up. Duryodhana as usual was sitting near the head of Krishna. As soon as Shri Krishna woke up, he saw Arjun near his feet. He greeted Arjuna. But Duryodana was very impatient. He told Krishna, "I have come first, hence you should listen to me first". But Krishna told him, I have seen Arjuna first and he can talk first. To the amusement of Duryodhana, Arjuna asked the Lord to be with him during the war. Duryodhana asked for the mighty army of Shri Krishna. But without Krishna, any number of army is worthless. Hence Arjuna has choosen the best. Sairam.
