Guest guest
If we are capable of watching the pranks of the mind with amusement, then we are on the correct path. Neither should you possess the mind nor the mind should possess you. Sans the mind, you are verily god. If you try to annhilate the mind, with more force it will strike. Do not do any thing in anxious. Just watch the process of thinking itself. In few moments mind will become dumb. But this is only a temporary phenomena. Hence the saints and sages, scriptures and upanishads teach us to remain 'always centred on the self". Sadadam yoginah is the text in scriptures. Both Shirdi Baba and Parthi Baba exhorts us to repeat the 'nama japa' ad infinitum. The reason behind is simple. We know that the mind is very powerful. It awaits its chance to devour us. If you are constantly contemplating on the Divine, the mind becomes powerless. The moment you loosen your attention to god, mind begins his play of treachery. Choose wisely and remain absorbed in the contemplation of the Divine. Sairam.
