Guest guest
A malaria infected person will not recognize taste. Likewise a worldly man is immune to spirituality. Unless the person is cured of his ignorance, there is no use in teaching him, subtle truths. His mind is drowned in samsara. He is after money, property, wife and children and he would always like to remain affluent enjoying the pleasures of senses until his death. Since the mind has led to him like that and he is unable to extricate from the clutches of the senses, he becomes a slave to the senses and the world. The same samsar which entyced him will start giving him innumerable problems once he become old and the children becomes adults. Now it is their turn. No body will bother about his words. The sons and daughters will say, "you keep quiet, we know how to lead our lives etc". Hence almost all scriptures ask the people to turn to spirituality when they are young so that it will stand as a support during their olden days. Hence the Bala Vikas programmes have been started by Swami to train the young minds towards spiritual truths and discipline aided with devotion. Children are taught small couplets of prayers, devotional hymns, lives of saints, the greatness of our land, respect to elders and teachers etc. There is no use teaching an elderly man regarding spirituality. He would have lost all the strength in this worldly turmoils. He will not be patient to hear about philosophy or god.Hence Swami says, "Start early, drive slowly and reach safely. Sairam.
