The dying old man wanted water to drink and Amir

gave him water. As soon as the old man drank the water, he fell dead. Amir was in a problem. If he informed the police, he might

be interrogated and arrested. The police might even suspect him to be the cause

for the old man's death. Immediately, he realized the folly of leaving Shirdi

without the permission of Baba. He regretted. That very moment, he decided to

go back to Shirdi. On the way, he repeated the name of Baba again and again.

Before sun-rise, he reached Shirdi, and was saved from the problem. On the

advice of Baba, he stayed in the verandah and got completely cured of the

ailment.

 

One day, in the midnight, Baba

shouted, " Hey Abdul, a poisonous creature is coming to my bed. "

Immediately Abdul with a lantern went near Baba's bed. There was nothing

nearby. Baba asked him to see carefully. Amir

suspected that there was a snake nearby. Shakkar was

able to understand the gestures of Baba. Once again Abdul brought the lantern

and the area was completely scanned. Amir was able to

find a snake near his pillow and it was large and poisonous. It was moving its

hood up and down. The poisonous snake was killed and Amir

was saved. Baba's cautioning in time saved the life of Shakkar.

 

This way Baba saved many lives. Even today he is saving his

devotees. He continues to do so in future as well. The very purpose of his holy

saying is to tell us that Baba is our savour always.

He saves us so that, we can live to realize our life's goal. Baba protects us

so that we can make use of our life for realizing the self.

 

It is not enough, if our bodies are saved from

diseases and death. Our minds too must be saved from weakness and fickleness.

The subtle spiritual body must be well protected by Baba.

 

For several generations, the spiritual journey is taking place of

the Jeeva to merge with God. On the pathway to

perfection and self-realization, there are many obstacles. Baba saves us from

them all and that protection is the real protection. Baba highlights that

protection in this law. Many several devotees have been saved by Baba in their

spiritual journey is worth remembering.
