Bhakti is no doubt the

easiest, but it is also the most difficult way. In Hindu traditions, Bhakti or devotion has a large and significant place and

position. Any Sadhana or Yogic Practice will be a

wasteful enterprise if it is not accompanied by real devotion. By self effort,

anybody can attain, to some extent, ordinary devotion. But ceaseless devotion,

loving devotion, unfaltering devotion, unique devotion and supreme devotion can

be possible only by the grace of God. True devotees, like incarnations, are

born with a purpose. By their very Darshan, all the

sins of the viewers will be washed away.

A true devotee sees God in all. He loves all equally. Without the

slightest shade of egoism, he remains a tool in the hands of God. He is capable

of remaining tranquil in the midst of all polarities. He will be kind and

compassionate towards the poor and downtrodden. With total steadfastness and

sincerity, he engages himself in the service of God. He keeps himself under

self control and is firm in determination. He moves about quietly with patience

and forbearance. With noble ideals, psychic strength, and invincible confidence,

he will forever remain as a servant of God.

Since a devotee is free from the obstructing

gales of egoism, God freely enters into him and stays in him. A true devotee's

heart is the very dwelling place of God. A devotee is ever fully blissful. he, who forgets himself, transcends body consciousness

and always lives in God, is a true devotee.

(to be contd….)
