On one of those Christmas of old days, I joined the Nagar Sankeertan as usual. Being Christmas, I could see many overseas devotees, having taken up their positions. Few volunteers, selected from young overseas groups, were distributing candles for all those standing in the line. One candle was put in my hands. This was my chance to witness Christmas being celebrated in Prashanthi Nilayam. Before the commencement of Song on Ganesh, the candles were lit. In the dimly lit Prashanthi premises, I could watch the glowing faces of devotees, reflected by the lights emitted by candles. It looked so solemn. As the lines slowly moved, the Christmas Chorals were rendered in unison. Ultimately we all gathered in front of the beautifully decorated Mandir. We were looking with great expectation at the Silver to be opened. Swami did not make us wait long.. The silver doors over the balcony opened and there HE was!; Swami in the attire of White Robe, in all brilliances, and smiling on all of us. Occasionally both he divine hands were raised above to bless the magnitude of devotees standing on the sands, each one holding a candle. Swami then gave signal for Arathi. The Arathi itself was wonderful. We were all waiving the candles, while the Arathi song was rendered in chorus. The Darshan of Sai in White Robe, moving around the balcony has been vividly recorded in this wonder video. We wonder whether such a blessed chance will come in our away again. Many of you would have already viewed the video. But Christmas is a special day, and it will give more joy to view the Christmas video again and again.
