Guest guest
We have read the wonderful episodes of Shirdi Baba's daily round for alms.It was not a regular event. Some days, he used to go around many times for alms. Sometimes he will go to fixed houses. Whatever is offered, He will mix all the food, both solid and liquid and offered to "Allah" or God. Afterwards, the food will be poured in an utensil. Everybody partook the consecrated prasad to their heart's content. Baba never ate anything for taste. He will be oblivious to such senses. He will eat the same food without bothering about the taste, quality or condition. The remaining food was consumed by dogs and cats. He never drove them away. We have to learn an important lesson. We should not hanker after tasty dishes. Food is mainly for satisfying our hunger and to get strength to the limbs and organs. Let us try slowly to get over the "taste" or feeding to our taste buds.
