Guest guest
Trail and error is the way by which human beings learn from their mistakes. A child falls several times before it learns to walk freely. In spirituality also, we fall many times before we find our feet. But we should not be discouraged by such falls. It is an essential prerequisite for learning process. We memorize the multiplication or addition tables by heart, before attempting to attend problems in arithmetic. Hence, during the initial stages, we have to start with the worship of the Lord by repeating slokas and chants, doing ritualistic worship etc. At a later stage, when we have advanced sufficiently, we may leave aside the initial stages and go to the next stage of "Japa or Dhyana". Slowly we have to get rid of the bad traits in us, if we have to move up. Ego and selfishness are two great enemies in spiritual field. Vanquish them as quickly as possible. Lust, anger, greed etc obstruct our path with thick veil. Emotions arise due to body consciousness. Hence we have to get rid of the emotions slowly. Do incessant Namajapa which will quell the animality in us. We must have the goal in our view and progress relentlessly. Sairam.
Guest guest
Sairam,Well said. Like a long volley in a game of table tennis, your words and similar messages should always be transmittedfrom one devotee to another. In the process, we move effortlessly towards the Divine - CLOSER TO THE DIVINEEVERY DAY, EVERY HOUR, EVERY MINUTE AND EVERY BREATHOnce again Thanks, Sairamsadhujagsairam232003 <sairam232003 Sent: Sunday, December 16, 2007 12:11:35 PM We progress through trail and error.
