Guest guest
Sai is a huge magnet, who attracts the sadhaka to Him. Though He is a magnet, if the iron is rusted, the magnet can not attract it. Hence the rust has to be removed in order to get attracted to the magnet Sai. The rust is the human weakness and foibles. How rust is formed? It is due to water. When iron is exposed to rain or wetness, chemical reaction takes place and rust is the result which forms on the surface, which hides the iron and in course of time it weakens the iron piece. A rusted iron piece can be broken with fingers. In original form, iron has to be worked with hammer and it is not easy to bend even. You have to heat it in cinders to hot flame, then you can easily shape it with hammer blows. Hence we should never allow iron to get into contact with water. Likewise our mind should never be allowed to be submerged in worldliness and selfishness. Then only it can get 'rest'. Swami says that the dust and rust has to be removed in order to get rest.
