Guest guest
Vairagya(dispassion) and Viveka(discrimination) are the two eyes of sadhakas. Unless one cultivate the above qualities, he can not aspire to achieve any tangible result. A wet wick will not catch the flame. It has to be dried in the sun. Likewise our mind which is drowsed with worldly desires can never ingress "Gnana". In the heat of dispassion, the desires abounding in the mind has to be given up. Swartha or selfishness and Ahamkara or Ego are two pests which will destroy the tree of humanity. Swami is never tired of repeating the age old truths contained in the Sanathana Dharma, in every discourse. He never intends to please us. His discourses, wakes up the sleeping, makes them to stand up and walk on the spiritual journey. Unless there are hurdles in the path, we will take the journey easy, and meet with accidents. Tests and tribulations are really to be welcomed for they are meant for our evolution and onward progress. It is sloath and ignorance which induces the Thamasic nature in man. Man has to act. From the sleep he has to wake up and walk. If he persists in the journey, he will reach the goal willy nilly. Hence, the demonic tendencies have to be given up to become true human and we should sacrifice the ego to ascend to the region of Divine. Sairam.
