Guest guest
The One is hidden, while the many are exposed. The hidden one is Atma, the exposed are myriads of life forms of the world. Since our senses are of outgoing nature and mind follow suit, we are easily deluded by the kelaidascopic universe and the enchanting sceneries it creates. In spite of many scriptures narrating the pitfalls of following a sensuous mind, we are easily dragged in that direction. We are not able to swim against the current, with the result we are carried in the whirlpools of desires. A yogi does swim against the current. Have you noticed small fishes in the rivers. They always swim against the current. They grow in that environment. Hence from the moment of birth of the fish, it learns the act of swimming against the current. But man, though intelligent and strong is unable to swim against the current of the sensory life. It is really a pity. Hence the scriptures proclaim, "Sadadam Yoginaha"(Remain a yogi always). There is no easy going way in spirituality. All the 24 hours, all the seven days, we should remain ever meditating on the Self. Here, the question will arise. How, while attending the mundane life, toiling for the family and children, we can remain in constant meditation? Yes, it is possible as Swami states. "Dedicate all your activities to God". Then all your activities will be sanctified as worship. Also, you are constantly remembering God, thus paving the way for constant Meditation. Sairam.
