Guest guest
It is natural for people to take credit when their efforts become successful. Once their efforts fail, they attribute the failure to fate or anger of gods. Shirdi Baba has clarified this very nicely as narrated by Hemadpant in Sai Sat Charita. Baba says, "Never hold you responsible for the good or bad. Be absolutely egoless and thus your progress in spirituality will be rapid. In the light of teachings of "Bagawat Gita" also this holds true. Shri Krishna has said to Arjuna in the battlefield, "Be thou My instrument Arjuna". Yes, He is not only the charioteer of Arjuna. He, being seated in the heart of Arjuna directs him imperceptibly. Though Arjuna is made aware of the greatness of Shri Krishna, by the Viswarupa Dharsan", still Arjuna acted foolishly many a time during the war. One such instant was narrated by Swami in one of His discourse. At the end of the day, when all warriors return to their habitat, Arjuna was led back to their temporary abode. Usually, the charioteer used to get down first and the master later. But on the particular day, Shri Krishna asked Arjuna to get down first. Arjuna naturally hesitated. But Krisha commanded him to get down and move away from the chariot. Reluctantly, Arjuna got down and moved away as ordered by Krishna. Krishna jumped a long jump from the chariot. The moment Krishna relinquished his seat, the chariot caught fire and exploded. It is the cumulative effect of many arrows which resulted in the fire. As long as Krishna was in the chariot, the missiles had no effect. Seeing the devastating scene, Arjuna realized his folly. No body can gauge the Lord; howsoever they may be near and dear to Him.
