Guest guest
" Patience and sympathy are very important virtues. A family lacking in these values is never peaceful. Some may claim that they are peaceful, but it is only momentary. One who is patient and sympathetic is happy all the time. Desires, which take gigantic dimensions gradually, are the root cause for the decline in these values. An unfulfilled desire gives rise to worry that keeps on growing. It is said, "To be born is a worry; to be on earth is a worry; world is a cause of worry and death too; entire childhood is a worry and so is the old age; living is a worry; evil is a worry; all actions and difficulties cause worry; even happiness too is a mysterious worry." - From Swami's 2000 Dasara Discourses
