Until Swami revealed the secret behind Saibaba's early years, nobody knew for certain when he was born, and his parents etc. "Badri" is the village in which he was born to the pious couple, Ganga Bava and Devagiriamma. Immediately after the birth, Devagiriamma left the child below the tree, covering it with a sari peace and leaves.A sufi brought him up for 4 years. Unable to manage the child after her husbands death, the wife of the sufi handed over the child to "Venkusa" a guru. He was there until 1851 and then came to Shirdi but wandered around and came back to Shirdi during 1853 and stayed there until his Mahasamadhi on 15 Oct 1918. Sai Sat Charith is a beautiful book for daily reading. Read one chapter daily. All your life's problem will pass and you will attain your aim of life, i.e.,salvation. Sairam.
