Guest guest
Many argue that we are the architects of our own life. Yes, we choose our directions and hence we are the architects. Once chosen, you have to accept the consequences. No use blaming anybody else for the conditions. Many philosophers have written elaborately on "Fate and Free will". This goes on for ever in almost all religions. The concept of God as the supreme, naturally presupposes that His Will alone exists. We may imagine a cow tied to a post with a length of rope. The cow can graze an area upto the length of the rope all around and thus a circular patch of grass is available to the cow for grazing. Now if the cow chooses to remain idle, it is also its fate. Human life in this earth resembles the above example. You come into this world with a karmic burden which resembles the length of the rope with which the cow is tied. You can utilise the opportunity and work to the extent you are allowed. If the owner of the cow finds that the cow has eaten grass from the entire area, he will remove the knot and take it to some other post for further feeding. It is like a new birth. When you have finished all your work in the present incarnation to the satisfaction of god, he will give you one more birth to work out to your balance karma. Hence our freedom is limited. We can not act beyond that freedom. Sairam.
