Guest guest
On the other day, i wanted to post a prayer given by Swami Himself in one of His sweet discourses. It goes like this. "I am Shiva, I am God, I am Peace itself, I am Love, I am Ananda Pure Bliss without end". When i read it, somehow i took it upon myself to repeat it once in a day though i am an illeterate so far as Swami's revealations are concerned. Initially, i repeated it unable to understand the great meaning it conveys, but after many years of struggle in this mundane life, due to the tossing of the waves of the ocean of life, i feel it would be proper to remind ourselves, the pure truth it conveys. It is very clear and succint. No interpolations are needed. He simply taught us to utter "I am Shiva" (How on earth, i will consider myself as Shiva?) I am God(I am clean bowled with this revealations) I am peace itself(now slowly i try to deciphor the esoteric meaning) I am Love(yes, swami used to emphasise this point very often) I am Ananda(naturally god is Joy but who? me?) Pure bliss without end(nice to read). The comments within brackets are my ignorant feelings.. I am rather bracketed by these utterances of Swami. But, my behaviour in this world cleary reveal that i do not tally with those utterances) Now what should i do? Simply repeat them like parrot every day. Yes, Do it. Repeat it consciously several times dwelling upon the deeper significance it conveys. As you do it with Faith and Patience as Shirdi Baba used to say, the goal post is really not far off. Assert these truths in yourself as you chant it. They are absolute truths, uttered by Swami. If you have deep faith in Swami, naturally you should revere His words. He has shown us the Royal Path to Divinity. No elaborate rituals needed. Just become conscious of your own Reality. " Aham Brahmasmi" Shri Vivekananda felt that He was Brahmam, Hence all the shackles that bound him were broken away unable to contain His real identity with the Consciousness. Sairam.
