Guest guest
A child like innocence is needed for a sadhaka. A child is always happy and joyful. It forgets any hurt it suffers, the very next moment. It never harbour grudges, nor it hates anybody. No body has taught long lessons of spirituality to the child. It is natural for the child to remain happy. It sleeps innocently for around 16 hours a day, enjoying the ecstacy of self. It has no thoughts. It smiles beautifully during the sleep. How is it possible for the child and not to us? As we grow in the life, we copy the habits and behaviour of elders around us. We learn the tricks of the trade very quickly and we become smart in the worldly level. Naturally the good qualities, we inherit during the childhood days, start departing from us bidding us adiue. Swami says the roots of life are in the other world and in this earthly world, we behold only the branches, leaves etc. Hence our roots are in the higher regions and not in this earth. A detached person cuts the very root of the tree and he ascends up to god never to turn back once again in this earth. For that we need to shed the monster ego and 'myness'. Sairam.
