Guest guest
Swami once told a lovely story. There was a king who was advised by the physician attending him, not to look at any other colour other than green. The king immediately ordered that all that which he happens to see should be in green colour. Immediately, the workers were called and they started painting the palace in green paint, then all the articles were painted in green. This way the king tried to escape seeing any other colour other than green. While the workers were thus engaged in the gigantic task of painting all things in green, a saint happened to visit the palace and he enquired the reason for the green painting. He was told the reason for the king's problem. Then he chided the king for the enormous effort to paint everything in green. The king could have worn a 'green glass spectacle to mitigate his problem spending a few rupees. Instead he ventured into painting everything with green paint. This is foolishness. Swami has a subtle message for all of us in this story. We want everybody to fall in line or act as per our whims which is not possible. Why don't we change our outlook about people and see only the good in them? Hence we all should wear the "Prema glass" and the world will be seen as suffused with love. Sairam.
