The Lord's heart is softer than the butter. But when the situation so demands, He is hard like a diamond. His dearness to His comrades, gopis and gopas is full of 'Madhuram'. When He confronted Kamsa, and dealt death blows to him, he was really very hard like a diamond.This can be equated to vapour which is subtlest when cooled become water and then becomes ice finally. When you compare vapour with ice, what a qualitative difference? Ice is solid as well as hard. It is weighty and it can hurt if mishandled. Whereas vapour can not cause any hurt to anybody. Sairam.
