Guest guest
"Mata Pita Hari Bhandu Saka Hari" thus goes the Bhajan. He is our mother, He is our father, He is our relative as well as friend. Yes, Arjuna had a relative and friend in Shri Krishna. Every body wonders why the greatest wisdom "Bagawat Gita" was imparted to Arjuna instead of Dharmaraja who is the embodiment of righteousness. For everything there is a valid reason. Swami has clarified the reason in one of his discourses. Though Dharmaja was virtue personified, he had no forethoughts. He would not have played the game of dice, had he thought about the consequences before hand. Secondly he is more attached to the game of dice. He was so attached to the game for a win, he was made to surrender everything. Once he lost himself in the game, he has no right to bet his brothers and wife. Hence there is travesty of justice. Due to false ego he was made a scapegoat and due to his actions, the entire family had to live in the forest. But Arjuna, though afflicted in the begining with attachement to his preceptor, great grandfather and relatives, he found wisdom in Shri Krishna's teachings and accepted his instructions. Hence Arjuna was selected for the great wisdom in the form of "Bagawat Gita" Sairam.
