Guest guest
We hear through the media that 'flood has caused wide spread havoc in several countries as well as in India. Adding to the woes are gales of wind and thunderstorms which uproot big trees, snapping power and communication lines, disrupting water supply, flooding of storm water drains and mixing of sewage water with rain water etc. We can well imagine the plight of poor as well as rich people. The poor loose their only source of livlihood as well as the hutments they live. The rich are not able to access through their affluence, some basic necessities like water and food. It may take a month to to rehabilitate the disturbed population. See the earthquake of "Peru" touching the seismic scale of '8' considered to be the worst. Many lives have perished under concrete debris. To locate the bodies itself would take considerable time. If somebody fortunately survives under the concrete debris, only trained dogs could locate the places. The ordeal of the relatives of the dead could not be surmised. It is the worst misery unable to locate the dead or those who survive the cruel fate. Children seperated from the parents, families seperated from their near and dear are really pathetic. No body can console them sans god. Time and again Swami has emphasised that we are the architect of our own life. Hence it should be the endeavour of every devotee to pray collectively for the welfare of the humanity as a whole. We have to relinquish the pettiness of selfishness, the considerations of our immediate family, kith and kin to engulf the entire humanity with our loving prayer. "Lokas Samasthas Sukino Bhavantu"(Let the whole world be happy must be our prayer and motto) Sairam.
