Guest guest
As the population of the globe grows in leaps and bounds, imparting spiritual knowledge among the growing masses is a daunting task. The technological boom obstructs spiritual studies. People are very gravely mad after money, properties, possessions. The clamour for five figure salaries are raising among the young IT savvy and Software professionals. Each one is vying with the other to join in MNCs of repute. Even the fresh IT graduates are offered minimum 25 to 30K salary per month. The net result is the rise in real estate prices. To avoid taxes and to invest in properties, the young IT professionals are ready to invest. Now the middle class people are left in the lurch. They are not able to compete with the youngsters to purchase properties. The bank interest too sour high every year. Ultimately, the value of human beings are getting devalued whereas inert brick and mortar structures are sold like hot cakes. This is one side of the story. The divide between the haves and have nots is growing. Poor people are unable to afford for even one full meal a day. The cities are turning into hot beds for money making. The rural scenario in contrast looks very pathetic. The only source of livlihood, agricultural land is flundered by multinationals in the name of development. They are left with no choice except to migrate to towns and cities in search of livlihood. They fill their stomach working in building projects or end up as slaves to the contractors for meagre salaries. Swami wants this trend to be arrested. He wants service activities to concentrate on rural villages, educating them on hygine, healthcare, sanitary facilities. Potable water supply, education in skills to stand on their own, agriculture, animal husbandry are given main attention. The Self help groups are created to hoan the skills of locals on the known cottage industries. The main aim of all the service activities is to make them self reliant and to prevent further migration to cities. Cities have become over congested, breed crimes and diseases. The availability of resourses such as water etc is depleted very much. Hence crowding of town and cities are more harmful for all. Hence concerted efforts should be made to focus the service activities in rural villages all through the year sustaining them till they find their feet. Hence Sai Samitis are adopting villages and concentrating their service to improve their sources.Sairam.

Guest guest
> > Vishram Mansabdar Sairam, Since you are attached to a Samithi, progrmme for village services will be made by Service co ordinator of Sai Samithis. When such announcement is made you may volunteer for such. You may contact the convenor or spiritual co ordinator. Otherwise you may contact the District President of Sathya Sai Samithi and write your views regarding village upliftment service. You may also suggest a village which is very backward in respect of resources, fecilities, education, health and hygeine and you may request the President to adopt the village. Thank you Sairam.
