Guest guest
Anything which limits, belong to the world whereas the limitless is Self or Atma or God. The sky is immeasurable, the ocean is immeasurable, the vast space around all the planets and stars is immeasurable. But the Self which contains all the visible and non visible things has no limit at all. It is termed as "Infinite". A salt doll when immersed in the sea can not be retreived. It loses its shape. Likewise in meditation, the individual looses his individuality in the cosmic consciousness. Once realised, though he may retain the outer form, he will be one with divine. He is like a burnt coir. Though the shape of the coir is there, it is nothing but ash. He is "Jeevanmuktha", the self realised soul. Shri Ramana Maharishi is one such soul. He never identified himself as a body. Hence, to a grieving devotee, he pecified and told him,"Where I can go? I am always here.(at that time he was suffering from cancer and he was about to pass in few days). When it is possible for human to attain the "Jeevanmuktha" stage, we need not entertain any doubt about the human potential to realise the self and remain in the body.Sairam.
