Guest guest
In Baba's discourses, stories to elucidate the truths abound. A small bird built a nest near the seashore and it laid eggs. As it went in search of food, a huge wave swept away the nest along with the egg. Returning to the sea shore, the bird found no trace of its nest. It became sad. Again it started building a nest and laid eggs. The same thing happened again. Some other wave swept away the nest. The bird become really furious. It made one vow. I will make the ocean dry", With its small peak it started to shift drops of sea water to the dry bed. It persisted on its effort. Finding the determination, it seems "Garuda", Maha Vishnu's vehicle decided to help the bird. It threatened the "Ocean with direst consequence if it harm once more the birds nest". The king of the ocean pleaded mercy and allowed the bird to build its nest without harm from its waves.". We can imbibe great lessons from this. Though it is a little bird, it possessed the determination and hence god too helped it to realise its goal. Sairam.
