We marvel at the scientific community for their contribution in research and development of new tools in every branch of science. Fifty years ago, we would not have dreamt of the computer and hard discs. Now almost everyday new varieties of storage mediums are invented and put to use. We are really astonished at the technological feat and the speed with which information is disseminated around the globe in split seconds. No doubt, these are are all no mean achievements. But have we marvelled ever at the brain and neural network god has created within our physical being, incorporating informations from the advent of evolution. Yes, all information from the begining of creation is embedded in the small brain. But no body ventures in those regions. We rarely use the full potential of our brain. Only a rare few venture into the realm of intellect and recive inspirations from the secret regions of the brain and use it for the betterment of the human society. We must use all the advances in technology for the betterment of society and not for recreational purpose and time passing. Mainly, the rural populations should get the benefit of such technology and improve their agricultural practices, animal husbandry etc including hygeine and healthcare. Small cottage industries started by self help groups should sustain the communities with self reliance, educate them on the betterment of the welfare of the entire community. Education, healthcare, drinking water are the most vital for human society. Hence those who are capable of rendering assistance to the rural people, should do so using the technology. As Swami often says, technology has turned into 'tricknology'. People cheat one another. Nations cheat one another with the advance of technology. Hence human value education should be inculcated at the rural level. Actually rural villagers are morally upright people, revering their culture and tredition. Hence it is easier for the educationists to instigate faith and courage to pursue their vocations more scientifically and avoid migrating to towns and cities which have turned into garbage dumps.(the mind pattern of city and town dwellers has really turned into garbage dumps). Hence Sai samithis all around are concentrating more on the rural scenarios for sustained service throughout the year for over all developments as directed by Swami. Sairam.
