Once you develop confidence and faith, there is one more quality to cultivate. That is consistency. We often find that the degree of faith we exhibit in the morning starts waning in the evening. Why it is so? We co relate external events with our sadhana or faith in god. We have often noticed that the Sun is hidden frequently by the cloudy weather. Will you attribute this to weakness of the sun? No. Definitely not. Clouds are the result of sunshine only. The same clouds hide the sun. The clouds are not powerful than the sun. They will be wafted away by the wind. Likewise in our life, events change in split seconds. We will be enjoying the life in the company of our family. Suddenly the postman comes and hand over a letter. We open the cover and find unsavory news about our holdings in a multi national company. We suffer heavy loss due to the crumbling of stock market. A pale of gloom descends in the atmosphere. This is how life goes on in every individual life. Hence we should remain as mountains in the midst of gales of wind. Mountains remain unaffected. Our life is also like that. When a small bird rests on the feeble branch of a tree, it relies on the wings and not on the branch. We have seen birds too swing in wind along with the branches. When a small bird could exhibit such confidence in the tiny wings it possess, why not man with his intellect and discrimination. Hence remain unruffled to the happenings around you.
