CHAPTER

34 Let the mind be free from the past memories. Memories are only reminders of the past pains that one suffered through their attachments and clinging desires. The mind must focus on the present, completely, My child, for the future is only a puzzle that becomes the vision and the picture, when one is able to exert all his strength, today. Yes, today - for tomorrow is always the fruits and results of today's work - hence, forget and forgive the past and let its experience only remain as the teacher for today's assignment. Know that experiences can be similar but never identical, hence, respond to every situation with full alertness and never expect or take anything for

granted. Remember, My child, that one cannot only plan the fight - one has to enforce the plan - one has to face the consequences of the attack - one has to find the strength and intelligence to defend the counter attack - one has to learn to even taste victory, with humility. A lot has to be conquered before, during and after the fight. The end is not when the fight seems over - the end, My sweet, is when the fight between the good and the evil has served its purpose - the end is when the fight has declared, clearly, the message of God - the end is truly when the good is able to share its divine vision with the hopelessly blind. Such an end, My dear, neither awards nor punishes the good and the evil - it simply teaches its lesson - reveal its truth, and proves to those in battle that no one is really different - no one is truly good or bad - all come with the same - live with the same - leave with the same - the only difference being in the state

of their awareness to the sense of their being and existence. Once such awareness comes, there are no more enemies, no more friends, no more fights. All becomes one vision - all becomes the one picture. All becomes the source, the cause and the effect of the one force - God! Who, My child, but only you, can give this life the strength to walk this entire journey in only the light of the one God. Remember that teachings, the spiritual disciplines, the acts of worship and service are only the means to reach the stage of self realization - the experience, itself, occurs in a moment - Yes! In a flash, when one's own self, becomes and expresses the true nature of its existing divinity. All external practices are only the tools that open the door to the wealth that one comes with. The spiritual wealth, unlike worldly wealth, cannot be earned. It is like the rich miser that wakes up, one day,

from his sleep of greed and realizes that only when he spends and shares, will he experience the true joy of his wealth. A locked treasure will only give one the insecurity of fears and will give one the pain of possession. A possession that has lost value for its true purpose for which it was received, was not comprehended by its unfortunate owner. How much more will your grieve, My dear? Grief cannot come to you, until you, with your misdoings, have knowingly asked for its uncertain companionship. Wake up from the dream of self pity - wake up and see, My dear, that you are shedding your tears, you are hurting your own heart, you are dismantling your own mind. The grief is yours - the outcome of the grief is also yours - hence, think - think and see that the key to overcome this pitiful state must only be with you. The intellect to see the reality and overcome this pathetic state of illusion must

only be with you - the strength to stay afloat and not drown in your own fears of pity must only be with you. How can one that has emanated from the womb of joy, ever feel and succumb to unreal pains of suffering. Pain can only hurt the one that sees it as pain. Receive it, My child, as a part of life's joys and its sting will be ignored. Do not pray to Me, anymore, to give you small pleasures or to take away illusionary pains. Pray that you are able to be stable during such experiences - Pray that you are able to see the truth and are able to stay awake with it, at all times - Pray, My child, that the Lord not only comes to you, but stays by you, lives in you, speaks through you, and performs/acts through you! Such a prayer will bestow you not only with the life of God, but with the life as God. When your life becomes Him, then know, My child, that from that moment, the pains of
