Shirdi Sai’s Philosophy in the words of Saibanisaji

The Sun rises in the eastern sky and clears away the

darkness of the world without prejudice or favoritism

toward any particular region. So, Sai’s compassion

encompasses all people, encouraging them to do right

and guides them against evil. Thus, HE clears away the

darkness of ignorance and leads people to

Enlightenment.

Sai has no shape or color, He comes from nowhere and

there is nowhere for Him to go. Like the blue sky, He

arches over everything, and since He is all things, He

lacks nothing.

Sai’s Body fills every corner of the universe; it

reaches every where, it exits forever.

Sai appears in the world of suffering because He can

not desert suffering people; His only purpose is to

spread the Dharma and to bless all people with its

Truth.

3. SAI IN DREAMS:

http://www.ettitudemedia.com

These are the dream sequences and messages as received

by SaiBaNiSaji From our beloved GURU LORD SAINATH OF

SHIRIDI. In Anticipation that this feature will help

in one's spiritual growth are hereby compiled from his

personal Diary and presented to SAIBANDHUS.

Translated and presented by RAGHU RAMAN SATULURY.

MARCH-1995:

21-03-1995

Baba please show me a way to live peacefully was the

prayer of the day. Sai has shown me with two visuals

and asked me to choose myself one of the two.

Some people dedicate their whole lifetime for making

money and neglect their responsibilities totally. They

become slaves to the wine and die drinking. The second

variety fulfill their duties perfectly, get tired and

die in sleep, effortless.

A hard day’s labor grants a good sleep in the night.

26-03-1995

Yesterday, I was thinking about the past relationships

brought over due to the karmic deeds. I prayed Baba to

explain me further on the subject. Baba has shown me

with-

Doctors perform surgery on an eight year- old boy and

take out a fetus from his lungs. Is it not an example

of some thing carried over from the previous birth?

Is it not one’s own fate, needing to work even after

retirement in the old age for meeting the family

expenditure?

A person has lot of money and also an air ticket in

hand for an air travel, but could not board the plane

as he reached the Airport late and had to catch a

train for reaching the destination. Can we conclude

that he has no eligibility for the air travel?

Man proposes and God only disposes.

30-03-1995

Oh! Lord Sainath, Give a message for the Saibandhus.

Sai appeared in saffron robes and indicated in the

form of a scene -

As one reaches the last stage of the journey, the soul

leaves the body on the platform and starts looking to

board another train i.e. to get into another physical

body. I thrive to take my devotees to the ultimate

destiny and thus save them from another ordeal in

making.

A commoner in confusion looks directionless.

4. QUINTESSENCE OF SRI SAIBABA'S PHILOSOPHY:

(By Late Sri Bharam UmamaheswaraRao)

" Shashi " : shashi_31

30. Efficacy of Prayer and Worship

Truthful prayer or worship gets Love, Grace and

Forgiveness from God. Sri Sai Baba said ‘Light the

wick of Divinity within; dispel the darkness around

and all sins’.

Sri Sai Baba has thrown light on the evolution of the

process of His prayer and illuminated us about the

inner meaning of the various steps.

Prayer has a very significant affect in one’s well

being. Prayer stimulates fervor. The heart gets rooted

in the Divine look and the mind becomes one-pointed.

The prayer must come from the bottom of the heart, but

not from the lips alone. Inner communion is the best

prayer. God is always with us to respond to our

prayer. God knows what to give and when. The prayer

leads us to step by step to perfection. One must feel

the inner Divinity.

Detach ourselves from objects which allure the five

senses and attach our self to God. In the pooja we

must fix our mind on God. Then we will be binding

ourselves with the Divine splendor. Watch the

vibrations of cosmic energy and be conscious of our

oneness and touch with Divine Self. This is the truest

form of Prayer. Our heart then fills with Divine Bliss

and attains Spiritual freedom.

In the Pooja, mere offering of flowers, offering of

prasadam and uttering of Mantras are of no use. Sri

Sai Baba said that these things are not necessary for

Him, but He wants whole-hearted devotion. If we love

Sri Sai Baba and serve Him with whole-hearted

devotion, we can invoke and get His grace even without

outward Poojas. We must unite our heart with Sai.

Observance of truth, in our thought, word and deed,

purifies us and makes us identify ourselves with the

Supreme Soul.

5. SANATANA DHARMA & SHRI SHIRDI SAIBABA.

In deep meditation aspirants may see forms like snow

or smoke. They may feel

A strong wind blowing or a wave of heat. They may see

within them more and more light: Fireflies, lightning,

sun, or moon. These are signs that one is far on the

path to Brahman.

-Shvetashvatara Upanishad

There is only one way to know the Self, and that is to

realize him yourself. The ignorant think the Self can

be known by the intellect, but the illumined Know he

is beyond the duality of the knower and the known.

-Kena Upanishad

NEWS

www.khabrein.info

PURI, ORISSA, INDIA, July 17, 2007: An estimated

million people Monday witnessed the world famous Rath

Yatra, the annual chariot festival, with devotees

driven to a frenzy to catch a glimpse of the triad of

Hindu Deities in this eastern Indian seaside town.

In the morning at about 9.30 a.m. the Deities - Lord

Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra - came

out of their 12th century abode amidst chants of hymns

and the rhythmic beat of traditional instruments. The

devotees surged forward for a glimpse of the Lords on

three chariots as fine sunny weather greeted the huge

crowds.

Devotees danced to the beats of gongs and chants of

'Haribol' and 'Jai Jagannath' as the three gigantic

chariots - Taladhwaja, Nandighosha and Devadalana -

rolled down the Grand Road. The chorused chant of

hymns, beating of the traditional drums and other

musical instruments and the roar of the teeming crowds

were loud enough to drown the roar of the waves by the

seashore.

6. DEVOTEES EXPERIENCES:

chandana_swathi

My Experience

Sai Ram,

I am from Machilipatnam in A.P .I have a lot of

experiences. But here is the one miracle of Sai. One

day my father started scolding my sister unnecessarily

I thought she was bearing the pain for which she was

not and I started to weep before the image of Sai and

asked him “O father without your order a leaf of a

tree is unable to move so under your guidance we are

suffering from the pain for which we are not and I

slept then I had a dream in that dream a big snake

surrounded our house I started to close the doors

unfortunately one door was opened snake entered the

kitchen and sat in the grinder my sister went to the

side of grinder I shouted her not to go but she

didn’t listen to me the snake bit her.

I started to take her near the doctor on the way I

came to SaiBaba temple then a small boy dressed in

Kafini exactly like Baba came towards me then I

thought my sister is out of danger like this way my

dream ended.

I wake up it is nearly 3.30pm we closed the doors then

I heard a voice asking for food so my mother and I

offered the food that day we didn’t had our lunch

since we gave to him the boy came with Kafini but at

that moment I didn’t recognized him.

In evening I started to say for my mother about my

dream then it strike to me that mid day who came for

food is nothing but " LORD SAI " . A wonderful day I

never forget in my life .So if we sincerely believe in

Him we will surely get immediate response for Sai at

an early hour. So trust in Sai and your life will be

with brightful colors.

I am very happy to share my experiences with all of

you. I am a regular visitor of this site

7. SAI WITH CHILDREN:

http://www.saidarbar.org/HTML/portraits/7.jpg

Smt. Madhu Gopal Ravada, Saidarbar, Hyderabad.

Hello Children! I am Madhu aunty. Do you know Baba use

to play with children and used to tell stories to

them? I felt children visiting Saidarbar should be

entertained with good stories. Now I want to tell the

stories what heard in my child hood.

THE PROUD PEACOCK:

Once, a proud peacock lived in a forest by the side of

a lake. Every day he would go to the lake. There he

would open his beautiful, colorful feathers and preen

them with his beak and beautified himself. Then he

would see his reflection in the lake water and admire

his own beauty. One day, a white crane came to live by

the lake. The peacock thought, “Oh! A new visitor is

here to stay. I must go and introduce my self to him.

After all, he must know that a beautiful peacock is

his neighbor.” So, the peacock walked with a pompous

gait to the lake side. The crane was busy catching

fish for lunch. The peacock began his daily ritual. He

went near the water and spread out his gorgeous

feathers for display. Then he preened them with his

beak, beautified himself and looked into the water. He

felt very proud at his colorful reflection. Then, with

pride, he turned his head towards the crane and

addressed him, “Hello, Mr. Crane! So you are my new

neighbor. Welcome to the forest.” “Thank you so much,

Mr. Peacock,” the crane said.

Then the peacock continued, “Mr. Crane, I was

wondering how you feel with the plain with white

feathers. They are so simple to look at and do not add

to your appearance at all.” The Crane smiled at the

peacock. He flew in the air and landed by the

peacock’s side. Then the crane said, “Feathers and

wings are given to us so that we can fly. No doubt,

your feathers are very beautiful but, they are of no

use because you can not fly with them for long. I

would rather have simple and useful wings than showy

and useless ones like yours.” At this moment, the

peacock got speechless. He went a way ashamed without

a word. After that day, he never preened his feathers

to show off to others.

8. SPIRITUAL GEMS FROM SAI SATCHARITRA

swamymain

Sat, 28 Jul 2007 09:26:32 -0700 (PDT)

Sai Ram. Let us continue with the Spiritual Gems from

this Chapter 24 of Sri Sai Satcharitra. Sai Ram.

SSS:

Moral

Let us mark and note carefully, what Baba has taught

us, by this incident. He has advised us that before

the senses, mind and intellect enjoy their objects, he

should first be remembered, and if this be done, it is

in a way an offering to Him. The senses etc. can never

remain without their objects, but if those objects are

first offered to the Guru, the attachment for them

will naturally vanish. In this way, all the Vrittis

(thoughts) regarding Desire, Anger, Avarice etc.

should first be offered and directed to the Guru and

if this practice be followed, the Lord will help you

in eradicating all the Vrittis. When before enjoyment

of the objects, you think that Baba is close by, the

question whether the object is fit to be enjoyed or

not will at once arise. Then the object that is not

fit to be enjoyed will be shunned and in this way our

vicious habits or vices will disappear and our

character will improve. Then love for the Guru will

grow and pure knowledge will sprout up. When this

knowledge grows, the bondage of body - consciousness

(we are the body) will snap and our intellect will be

merged in spirit-consciousness (we are the spirit).

Then we shall get Bliss and contentment.

There is no difference between Guru and God. He, who

sees any difference in them, sees God nowhere. So

leaving aside all ideas of difference, we should

regard Guru and God as one, and if we serve our Guru

as stated above, Lord (God) will be certainly pleased

and purifying our minds He will give us

self-realization. To put the matter in a nut-shell, we

should not enjoy any object with our senses etc.

without first remembering our Guru. When the mind is

trained in this way, we will be always reminded of

Baba, and our meditation on Baba will grow apace. The

Sagun Form of Baba will ever be before our eyes and

then devotion, non-attachment and salvation will all

be ours. When Baba's Form is thus fixed before our

mental vision, we forget hunger, thirst, and this

samsar; the consciousness of worldly pleasures will

disappear and our mind shall attain peace and

happiness.

SSG: Sai Ram. A very lucid and cogent statement from

Shri Hemadpant and very useful to remember for all

disciples of every Guru. Sai Ram. Sagun form of Baba

is the first step to realize His Nirgun form and His

oneness with all Gods and Gurus, as shown time and

again in Shirdi to various devotees. Sai Ram.

We will continue with this chapter in the coming

weeks. Sai Ram.

Rear Sir /madam,

I am greatfullto you that every Thursday I get to read

about Sai ram .I know you and your team have put a lot

of effort into creating this E-magazine. I understand

the pain and effort that goes into it, but for people

like it's me very easy to pass comments or point out

errors.

One example is:-

The combination of the back ground color of the book

and the fonts that has been chosen for this edition,

it makes a bit hard for us to read the contents of

the page, would humbly request to change it to a

better combination.
