Guest guest
27/7/07 Dear Loving ones, I want to share the sadness of mine to you all to reduce the burdens. On 24th July, i ve received a call from my sister by 10.30 am that my Elder Brother's Son Master. R.P.Srivasanth, aged about 18 years, who was studying B.Com., 2nd year in AM Jain College, Chennai had met with a train accident at about 9.30 am and he was no more. I was very much shocked to hear the same. Immediately I ve contacted his aunt to confirm the same and to my sad, the same was true. I got the message that he was standing on the footboard by that time and he was dashed to a lamp-post and got injured to death. As the news waved at us, every one moved to Govt., Hospital at Central, Chennai to see our beloved youth. He was helplessly laid down in a bench, showing the face downwards. When his athims, mother & other relatives wanted to confirm whether the boy was ours or not, the man at that place was so cruel enough and says not to show his face and told not to touch our son. We were helplessly seeing him and the blood was coming from the head. How cruel this that we are helplessly seeing our beloved son lying on the ground with blood shedding from his head? We were weeping for the fate come on us and the fate on him, that after the death also we were not able to see him fully. I now come to express the fate of the accident: As per the version of his friend, he was missing 3 trains due to rush and he got into the 4th train at Palavanthangal. Inside the train, when the train crosses St Thomas Mount station and reaching Guindy, his legs were somehow strucked inside the train (may be due to rush in the train, who are getting ready to get down in the Guindy station and pushed him back, and fell down helplessly and got injured. Immediately, his friend rushed to him, were he was fell down and been unconscious with shedding blood. NO MEN HAS COME FORWARD TO HELP HIM TO SAVE HIS FRIEND’S LIFE. He himself be able to take him out of the way, and got him in the platform. When he enquired the Station Officials to give first-aid immediately, he was told that as the accident took place in the railway line, he has to be taken to Railway Hospital at Egmore, and helplessly he was unable to took his friend to the nearest Hospital Balaji Hospital at Guindy, which is taking care of Road accidents only. To the sad, in the next train, his was took inside and he requested the driver to go straightaway to Egmore. But as per the procedures of the Railways, the EMU has stopped at every stations between Egmore and after ½ hr he was took to Egmore. There due to completion of formalities, they took time to give first aid treatment to arrest the blood immediately and cooly told that ‘your friend is having pulse and as such he will be safe’. Subsequently informing the same to Vasanth’s uncle, the friend got away reliefly to attend his work. But, when he contacted his uncle, he was told that Vasanth was no more and sent to GH, Central Moturary. To our sad, further to complete the postmortem, the FIR report should be given by Railway police, and we begged at Egmore for the same. To our bad luck, we received our son’s body after postmortem and had the same at our house at about 4 pm. Everyone were with tears in the eyes to see the young boy being dead. There is no injury in the body except head injury. His friends from the old school Shristi at Vellore, Moubrays School at Alwarpet, Chennai, his collegemates, officials, and friends of Nehru school came and paid tribute to his body on Tuesday evening itself. On 25th his body was cremated at Nanganallur Crematory Ground. After that also, numerous friends and collegemates came to our house to pay homage to him and conveyed condolence to his father, mother and relatives. On 26th his Holy Ash (asthi) was taken to Besant Nagar Beach at about9.30 am and formal ritual rites were done by his HELPLESS father. It’s the true story of a young boy with loving dreams at the age of 18 years, as he has recently celebrated his 18th birth day on 30/6/2007. within a span of 24 days he was no more. How cruel the fate is? Railway authorities were not able to give first aid treatment immediately to the young petal and spoiled the life in the halfway itself. His good deeds were remembered by each and every one , every one cursed the Railway Authorities for the hasty actions of not giving first aid treatment immediately. IF THE RAILWAY AUTHORITIES COULD HAVE GIVEN THE FIRST AID TREATMENT, OUR BELOVED SON’S LIFE COULD HAVE BEEN SAVED. NEITHER THEY HAVE TAKEN IMMEDIATE STEPS NOR THEY HAVE ADMITTED HIM IN THE NEAREST HOSPITAL. WE HAVE PAID OUR SON’S LIFE FOR THEIR LETHARGIC ACTIONS. THIS COULD NOT BE REPEATED FOR ANYONE, WHO ARE MEETING WITH ACCIDENT EITHER ON THE RAILWAYS OR ON ROADWAYS. LET HUMANITY BE SPREAD AND LET YOU TREAT THE ACCIDENT CASES WITH IMMENSE CARE TO SAVE THE LIVES. I am requesting every one to pray for the young soul to be at peace in the heaven. I further request, if you are the person, who were witnessed the accident or come to know the same, if you are having any expressed feelings, and witnessed whether he was hanging dangerously on the footboard, tell me the truth what had happened to him? Whether he was hanging on the rush or he was pushed back by the co-passengers and what had really happened? Kindly let out your feelings to my email address and forward / circulate the same to each and everyone and pray for the unlucky departed soul and his bereaved family members.
