Guest guest
Everything is blank and void. What you want to get from this void. Yes our life in this world is a mirage in a desert. We seek so many things from this life like money, position, power, comforts, joy, family, property etc. There is no end to our seekings. Some seek knowledge and wisdom. But they are also delusioned. When everything IS you, what else can you seek outside you. It is sheer ignorance. Hence Shri Ramana Maharishi used to answer the questions of the disciples in an enigmatic way. If you ask him about your doubts, He will enquire, " To whom the doubts arise?. When you reply as " I " , He will ask your identity or " Who are You " . This is really a perplexing question. We usually reply as " I am Krishna, I am Rama or I am David etc. He will negate that identity stating that it is the label given to the body. Saibaba also clarifies this problem often. " You say, 'this is my handkerchif, this is my pen etc. You assert that the kerchief and pen are different from you. Again you talk, " My body aches, My mind is confused etc. Here also unconsciously you assert that the real You is different from the body mind complex. Then " Who you are really? No body can indicate the answer. Shri Ramana says, after negating all this as " Neti, Neti " (not this, not this), the residue which remains and which can not be indicated by the words. It may be termed as " Self " , Atma etc only to give a faint perception. It is the Witness stage. Unaffected and Mute witness to all this. Just like a cinema screen. But the screen is inert. But the Consciousness is Awareness, Pure awareness. No reactions whatsoever. It is Absolute Knowledge and Absolute Bliss which is Ever existing. Sairam.
