Guest guest
Sometimes the life of birds or animals are found to be better than the life of human beings. Why? Swami has provided the answer in one of his discourses. He said Man has no restraint. Birds and beasts follow the Dharma meant for each species for eaons without any change. See the human beings. He changes his life styles very often suited to the whims of his mind. Why there is no control though he is endowed with discrimination? Birds and beasts have no choice to exercise in their life. They eat their prey during day time. They tend their young ones until they find their own feet. They never hoard nor they covet. They have seasons for breeding and they instinctly understand the vageries of nature and protect themselves and their offsprings. What to talk about men? They take their food not only for hunger but for catering to the taste buds. They do not follow ethical way of living. They covet others properties. They hoard money. They feel utmost selfish. They never care for others feelings. To correct such mindset, Saints and sages guide them towards morality and discipline and it takes many lives for them to correct way of living and understanding the Divinity within themselves. Hence birds and beasts, though bereft of discrimination live their lives in conformity with the ecology of nature. Hence man should be really ashamed when he compare his life with that of birds and beasts. Sairam.
