Guest guest
Cotton is initially pure white. The yarn spun from cotton is also equally white. To cater for the whimsical taste of different people, varieties of dyes are added to the yarn. Now with the advantage of computer aided designs we find that there are more than 60 to 70 thousand colour combinations adoring the clothes in the textile industry. Still our mind is not fully satisfied. The known and used colours become stale after few uses. Now if you examine the main reasons for all these varieties, you will come to understand that our mind and desires are the root causes for all these varieties. There is no end or satiation point so far as human mind and desires are concerned. You can add any number of zeros after a numeral. There is no end. To day we find that some financial magazines start grading the richest in the world with the billions of dollars, his business is worth. A very small share of the richest people, if utilised for the service of fellow brothers who are destitutes and forelorn would have made wonders in the human society. Now only due to the alchemy of spiritual faith and evanescent human life, even the richest have started charity foundations to cater for the poor and destitutes. This should be widened as far as possible, so that hunger and disease are routed out from the society. Swamy has started "Narayana Seva" through Sathya sai samithi all over India first and weeky poor feeding programmes are done in several places. Now we understand that such activities have been extended gloabally in many third world countries and african countries who are worst affected by draught and poverty. Even if our contribution is small let us all mingle and serve the society through Sai Samithis or centres. Sairam.
