Guest guest
Why those profess spirituality is more prone to Ego than the ordinary people? Swami has clarified that spiritual ego is the worst and has to be condemned. Those who do not have any idea of spirituality, and if they exhibit 'ego' it is somewhat tolerable. But those who boast themselves as 'devotees' or 'gnanis' or the so called 'gurus', if they exhibit their scholarship or attainments before their disciples for the very sake of 'fame' and prosperity, it is definitely the worst of the sins. Better they desist from practising such pseudo spirituality to gain more disciples around them. In fact they are not even aware of the fundamentals of spiritual wisdom and practices. The entire gamut of spirituality aims at removing the individual ego and selfishness. Hence it is a stern warning of Swami, that if we are sincere in our sadhanas we must desist from such exhibitanism. Sairam.
