Guest guest
When Nana Saheb Chandorkar was messaging the holy feet of 'Saibaba' he was muttering something within himself. Baba enquired him, 'What you are reciting'. Then Nana proceeded to tell Baba, it is a sloka in 'Bagawat Gita'. At that time Nana was under the impression that Saibaba is illeterate so far as 'Sanskrit language is concerned'. Hence when Baba accosted Him to repeat the stanza orally and audibly, Nana repeated the sloka. Baba was not satisfied. He asked him to tell word by word meaning with reference to grammer and context etc. Then Nana started narrating word by word meaning. He was telling 'Tad Viddi Pranipadena Pariprasnena Sevaya, Upadeshyanti te Gnanam, Gnaninas Tatva Darshinaha. The general purport is that we should prostarate before the Guru, Do Seva to the Guru and He will enlighten the disciple about Knowledge'. Baba asked Nana, 'What is the meaning of Prasna? Nana told him, it is questioning. Baba: What is Pariprasna? Nana: It is the same thing. Then Baba asked him when Prasna and Pariprasna conveys the same meaning was Vyasa out of his mind to put the word? Nana was unable to reply Baba's query. Likewise Baba elucidated the entire purport of the sloka to Nana and told him that the disciple should never think he has a choice to do seva or not. The disciple has to surrender to the Guru with all his wealth and capacities etc. When the disciple surrender thus, the Guru will enlighten the disciple about Knowledge. In fact both Guru and disciple are one and the same basically. Due to ignorance accumulated in several births, the disciple is unable to know his reality etc. He consider the body and Atma as one and the same which is NOT correct. The body, mind etc are illusory. Hence on that day, Nana came to realise Baba's complete understanding of all scriptural knowledge.
