How Swami has hidden hid Divinity for the first 14 years of sojourn on earth? He was very humble and meek, never ever complained to his mother, the ill treatment meted out to him by his class mates and school mates. Unable to bear his purity, they immersed him forcefully in Chitravati river after thoroughly dragged him in the mud. He never retaliated and submitted to those tortures silently. In fact it is a very great lesson for all of us to imbibe. How a man should move in the world in spite of odds? He was steaped in heavenly joy though physically he was treated thus. The second episode of Swami's submissive nature came to light when the 'black magician' confronted him with his cruel ways. Swami bore everything very calmly but when his head was swollen unable to bear the concoction poured on his eyes, he signalled his sister to come near and shown her signs of some local remedy. Everybody was weeping at the agony Swami's body underwent, but he was immovable to this outer sufferings. Thus on that fateful day his sister brought the remedy and applied to Sathyam's eyes unnoticed by the cruel magician. He was cured and the parents begged to the magician to spare his son, so that they can bring him in a healthy condition to withstand the sorcerer's cruelty. Then and now, Swami never evinced any interest in his physical well being nor his food and clothings. He was fed forcefully by many a devotee. Now we are sorry to note that he barely take only a glass of ragi gruel, that too for the satisfaction of devotees. Of course He is the embodiment of Shiva Sakthi, and He need never to depend upon the externals for his sustenance for He sustains the cosmos and its inhabitants. Sairam.
