We are all accustomed to prayers, whenever things are not rosy.

With a dubious mind, we pray falteringly. Swami has classified the

people in four clear categories. 1. Aarthi(one who prays for removal of

his problems)2. Artharthi(One who prays for wealth and prosperity)3.

Jijnasu(One who seeks the true knowledge)4. Jnani(One who is self

realised). For Swami all are his own children. Hence He too try to

satisfy the desire of each to certain extent(as we deserve). Swami has

not condemned any category since majority of the world fall in first two

categories). Seekers of knowledge are rare and can be counted with the

fingers of the hand. The main question is how we pray? People pray due

to anxiety and fear. No doubt, we are haunted by fear and the agitations

of the mind. He responds however grotesque is our mind. He said, 'Bring

your mind, however grotesque it may be and I will set it right'. Only we

should completely relinquish our mind to Him. How ? Is it possible? It

amounts to surrender in the real sense. For those who relinquish their

mind, no need for any prayer. They accept everything as a gift of Sai.

Whether bitter or sweet, they accept it without questioning. But

majority do not have such humility to leave everything to Him. We

surrender partially. It is part time devotion.

Shirdi Baba has clearely ruled out the efficacy of such devotion.

Devotion should be full and total. Then only grace will be full and

total. Then what is the fate of majority, who has no such strength to

accept everything as His sweet Will. Then we have to continue with our

own mode, be it imperfect. Still He listens to our woes and mend our

feelings. Hence pray incessantly so that either He relents or atleast

with your continuous prayer, you are enlightened by Him to accept the

inevitable with the renewed strength of Acceptance. That is also a gift

from Him only. Sairam.
