March 20th - Ugadi is celebrated in Prasanthi Nilayam todayThis morning the Ugadi (Telugu New Year) celebrations began at 8:00 am in the morning. Sai Kulwant Hall was filled with devotees waiting to get a glimpse of Swami on this first day of Telugu New Year. Swami arrived into Sai Kulwant Hall soon after that giving all a very good darshan. As part of the morning celebrations Swami gave a discourse, in which Swami talked about coming year. Swami said that this coming year will be a good one for all of us. Swami also talked about some of the things that happened in Chennai and also about the future trip to parts of Andhra Pradesh. No specific time or date was given. Morning event lasted till 11:00 am. After the event prasadam was distributed in Sai Kulwant Hall, more sweets are being distributed in the canteen. Swami gave another discourse this evening. Swami said that swami would be soon visiting Anantapur, which is the place where

Swami women's college is located. Swami also presented devotees with carts and other instruments so that they can improve their livelihood. There are quite a few devotees from anantapur region for ugadi celebrations here in prasanthi nilayam. They even sang some bhajans in the evening, which were really beautiful.
