National Walk for Values 2007 in Australia Preparations are in full swing for the first National Walk for Values in Australia on Saturday the 24 March 2007. After successful marches in Canada for the last four years, we will now have the opportunity in Australia to make our communities more aware of the five Human Values that encapsulate the teachings of Sai Baba. The time appears to be right for holding such events as the local organisers report, very strong, and in some cities, instant support from Local Government Councils and Police for the National Walk for Values. We are planning National Walks for Values in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. The Sathya Sai School in Murwillumbah will also be part of the event. The various walks will be open to

all and we welcome people from all religions, cultures and social groups to join us. However, we realise that this is our first National Walk and it is important to see the event as a long-term initiative of the Sathya Sai Organisation. The focus will therefore be on 'quality and not quantity', words so often repeated by Sai Baba to make us realise that for Him quality always comes first. Though we will invite others to join us, our first responsibility is to make this a successful event attended by a maximum number of Sai devotees. By walking together and demonstrating our commitment to the five Human Values, we not only promote the teachings of Sai Baba but we will enrich our cities by our resolve to transform ourselves and thus the communities we live in. Please note that all participants in the National Walk for Values will need to register prior to the Walk being held. This is important for insurance and

other organisational reasons. Individual and family registration forms are available at the following links. Individual registrations Family registrations The website http://www.nationalwalkforvalues.org provides local details for each participating State and other relevant information. As preparations progress, more details will be published on this website. A special logo has also been drawn up again drawing on the Canadian experience. T-shirts designed for this event will be provided at cost price and State organisers will shortly determine the number and size of T-shirts required.
